The World’s Largest Disco is an iconic event that draws thousands of attendees, making fast, reliable connectivity essential for ticketing and vendor transactions. Last year’s Wi-Fi issues left Ticketmaster scanners down, causing major disruptions. This year, failure was not an option.
To ensure a seamless event experience, ComSource designed and deployed a temporary Cisco Meraki wireless network—a robust, high-performance solution that supported ticketing, point-of-sale, and data capture while a permanent infrastructure upgrade was in progress.
The Challenge: An Outdated Network Struggling Under Pressure
The Buffalo Convention Center’s existing 12-year-old wireless network consisted of 33 aging access points, struggling to handle high-density events like the World’s Largest Disco. For an event where connectivity is critical to operations, an unreliable network was simply not an option.
The Solution: A High-Performance Temporary Network by ComSource
Understanding the urgency, ComSource, in collaboration with Cisco and Meraki teams, architected and deployed a temporary high-capacity wireless infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations for Ticketmaster and event vendors.
