Microsoft has announced an upcoming price increase for its Office 365 and Microsoft 365 services. This is the first increase since Office 365 launched over a decade ago. The price increases will affect commercial and business users of Microsoft’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings next year, with no changes to pricing for education or consumers.
The following pricing updates will go into effect on March 1, 2022:
Since the launch of Office 365, larger businesses have benefited from bulk discounts and deals. Smaller businesses will feel the effects of this price increase as the economy slowly starts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Microsoft is growing and has added more than 20 apps to Office 365 since its conception, including Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and To-Do in the last decade. With that being said, price increases are likely here to stay.
If you currently have a month-to-month subscription, you could consider the “Buy Now” option. This would give you the services for one year and lock in the pricing before it increases on March 1, 2022.
Available for purchase today on Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, Microsoft New Commerce Experience (NCE) provides a simplified journey for both partners and customers to transact cloud services in a consistent and standardized purchase motion.
Starting January 2022, Microsoft brought this purchase motion to seat-based offers like Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Windows 365. By transitioning to New Commerce Experience early, partners can provide their customers with new sales capabilities and deliver greater operational efficiencies.
